People often wonder
Do I need experience?+
Guided sessions are designed for first-time paddlers. Staff cover the basics before you launch.
What if I'm not very fit?+
Pace is steady, not fast. You can rest between strokes and the current does much of the work in one direction.
What should I bring?+
Sun protection, a water bottle and clothes you don't mind getting splashed. Leave valuables in a locker.
Follow Riverlife staff instructions and the activity briefing provided on the day. This layer supports your decision. It does not replace the on-site safety brief.
Why here?
From the water, the cliffs feel taller and the city quieter. This stretch of the river shaped how Brisbane grew around it.
